The idea
Marketing gets people to raise their hand — scan a postcard, click an ad, call a number — and then nobody's there to talk. Convervo puts an AI voice agent at exactly that moment: it picks up, answers from the business's own knowledge, qualifies the person, and captures their contact details.
The problem
Businesses spend on print and ads that generate interest they can't service around the clock. The gap between “interested” and “actually spoke to someone” is where most of that spend leaks away.
How I approached it
The hard calls here were about trust and scope, not code: how much should the agent claim to know, when does it hand off to a human, and what does the owner see afterward. I designed the agent behavior and guardrails, the knowledge-base ingestion (FAQs, docs, catalogs), the post-call lead summary, and the campaign analytics — then built the voice stack, the LLM prompting and evals, QR/widget generation, and the dashboard with AI. Priced in three tiers by AI-minutes ($49 / $99 / $199) with a 14-day trial.
What shipped
A working platform at convervo.app: generate a QR code or drop a one-line widget, point it at a knowledge base, and an AI voice agent handles inbound — answering, qualifying, transferring to a human when needed, and logging a lead summary with contact info. Analytics track scans, calls, intent, and conversions.
What I'd do next
Read real transcripts to find where the agent over-promises or stalls, tighten the eval set around those cases, and measure the metric that matters — qualified leads per campaign dollar — against a no-agent baseline.
