Note: 48HourWebsites is live. I shipped it solo, directing AI as the engineering team. Metrics are deliberately left out until there's enough real usage to report honestly.

The idea

Same underserved market as 99Websites, a different promise. Here the product is speed and scope: pick a plan (1–2, 3–5, or 6–12 pages), tell us about your business, pay via Stripe, and get a mobile-ready site in 48–96 hours. A deliberate second experiment at higher price points ($399 / $699 / $1,099), multi-page, with a CMS on the larger plans.

The problem

“Fast” is only a real promise if the pipeline can deliver inside the window every time. The product problem was designing an intake and production flow tight enough to guarantee 48 hours without the output looking rushed.

How I approached it

I set the plan structure and pricing first — they determine the scope ceiling and therefore the timeline. The marketing site, the plan selector, Stripe checkout, and the intake flow were built with AI to my spec, and AI handles page production so a small operation can hit the SLA. Add-ons like copywriting and logo design are priced separately so the base promise stays fast.

What shipped

A live service at 48hourwebsites.com: three plans, secure Stripe checkout, SSL and a year of hosting included, SEO and analytics setup, revision rounds per plan, and a CMS on Growth and Full Site. Running as a parallel test to 99Websites to learn which promise — price or speed — converts better.

What I'd do next

Put conversion and delivery margin head-to-head against 99Websites, measure on-time delivery rate, and let the winner absorb the loser's best ideas.
